The collection consists of biographical material, papers related to teaching and administrative functions, correspondence, publishing notes, slides and photographs, drafts and materials related to the Generic Flora of the Southeastern United States, and publishing aids for a series of articles in the Journal of the Arnold Arboretum which included accepted abbreviations for authors and publications in botanical publishing.
